Dr. Gillian Fickling

Dr. Gillian Fickling, MBChB 2020, Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University.

 

Dr. Fickling completed her internship at George Mukhari Academic Hospital, where she rotated through all the major clinical departments.

 

She completed her Community Service year as a Medical Officer in the Neonatal ICU and Paediatric Units at Odi District Hospital.

 

She has certificates in both Paediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

 

In 2024, she joined Deymed, where she is excited to be working along side the team in Family Practice.

 

Dr. Fickling spent the majority of her childhood in the USA. In 2010 she moved back to SA. Prior to studying medicine, she achieved a nursing diploma as an Operating Theatre Practitioner.

 

She and her husband recently welcomed their beloved daughter Marli-Jane.
